Product knowledge, now inside your AI sales coach

FrontlineIQ has launched a new product knowledge training module, and it's going live first with two of the biggest names in home furnishings: Ashley and NFM. Furniture Today covered the launch on October 14, 2026.

At High Point Market, our CEO Ben Rodier sat down with the Furniture Today News Desk to talk about how AI is being used to train retail sales associates, and about the new partnership with Ashley and NFM.

Our customers told us that knowing the product matters just as much as knowing how to sell it. So we built both into one place. Reps now learn what they sell and how to sell it, side by side, in the same app they already use to practice with Theo.

What's in the module

  • Product videos reps can watch between customers
  • Certification quizzes that confirm what each rep knows
  • Product-based role-play so reps practice the pitch before they give it
  • Ask Theo anything about any product, any time

Why product knowledge belongs in coaching

Product knowledge is at the center of how our customers sell, and they told us it matters just as much as sales skills.

That's Ben Rodier, CEO of FrontlineIQ. A rep who knows the difference between two mattresses, or why one sofa holds up better than another, walks into every conversation with more confidence. Coaching the selling skill without the product knowledge only gets you halfway.

John Mask, executive vice president of sales and marketing at Ashley Furniture Industries, made the same point in Furniture Today: selling on the showroom floor still comes down to confidence, consistency and execution, and pairing product knowledge with AI sales coaching helps salespeople deliver better customer experiences and stronger results.

What NFM is seeing on the floor

AI sales coaching has helped reduce the variance between our top and bottom performers on the sales floor.

Ethan Stover, chief retail officer at NFM (part of Berkshire Hathaway's furniture division), says his teams spend about 20 minutes per week with FrontlineIQ and have seen a double-digit sales lift.

A direct line from brands to the floor

The module also gives vendor brands a way to reach the people who actually sell their products. Field marketing and training reps can put their content in front of sales teams and see how it's being adopted and used.

More brands join this fall across electronics, flooring, bedding, financing and product protection plans.

Two ways to get started

  • Ashley Wholesale customers and Ashley store licensees get an introductory version built for smaller sales teams that don't have their own sales process yet
  • Retailers with their own sales process, playbook and systems can upgrade to a customized, integrated deployment

See it on your floor

FrontlineIQ is an AI sales coach for teams that sell in person. It turns everyday customer conversations into structured goals, coaching priorities and measurable revenue growth across auto, finance, home, retail and telecom.
